SUD Support Groups
Healthy Minds is committed to ensuring patients get the help they need regardless of their circumstances or resources. As part of that commitment, we offer regular online group support sessions that are free and open to the public.
About SUD Support Groups
The Substance Use Disorder Support Group will take a self-empowerment approach to your addiction recovery, where we will support you in taking responsibility for your sustained health and wellness. The group will provide informational, emotional and social guidance and support surrounding the unique characteristics of addiction and recovery. This includes issues of stigma, cravings and triggers, addictive tendencies, denial, honest communication, relapse prevention, long term recovery, family dynamics and roles, and barriers to sobriety. The group will take a strengths-based approach to support building self-confidence in your recovery.
Schedule of SUD (substance use disorder) support groups:
Mon – Thurs: 8:00 – 9:00 am and 7:00 – 8:00 pm
*Thursday 7-8 pm group is reserved for court involved patients only
Fri: 12:30 – 1:30 pm
Sat: 9:00 – 10:00 am
Are you new to our Zoom Groups?
Before you start, please read the following instructions & important information:
1. How To Join: No registration required. You will need to download the Zoom app on your phone or visit zoom.us on your computer to create your free account. If you wish to remain anonymous, when creating a zoom account, simply use an initial for your last name.
2. Confidentiality: We expect you will be in a private location where anyone outside the group is unable to view or listen to the group conversation, information and attendees. Also, remember, what’s said in group…stays in group.
3. Use of Headphones: We recommend you use headphones while in the session. Computer speakers and microphones pick up ambient noise and may make it hard for others to hear. If you have a smartphone, the headphones work very well.
4. Session Disruption/Dropped Connection: As with any internet service, disruptions may occur during the session causing video or audio interruptions. In the event the session is disrupted or connectivity is lost, please attempt to reconnect to the session immediately. Please continue to try connecting for up to 15 min. If after 15 minutes, you are not able to reconnect, please email email@example.com. If the session leader is disconnected from the session, please wait for them to rejoin. This may take up to 15 minutes. If they are unable to connect, they will send you an email informing you the session is cancelled. Please do not leave the session unless you receive this email.
